1 to 1 Learning: Laptops That Work

Link: Welcome!.

I’m behind on blogging about several sessions, one being a presentation by Pamela Livingston of the Peck School in New Jersey. She has a book about laptop programs due out in September via ISTE, and because she works at another independent school, I was curious about Peck’s laptop implementation. It sounds like her book will be a valuable guide for those thinking about going down this road. Pam listed several schools and their varying rationales for going 1 to 1 and she also cited a fair amount of research to support the use of laptops in classrooms. I am going to bookmark web sites of some of the schools mentioned in my Furl account if anyone’s interested.
